Despite being rained out for the last two years the organizing committee is back to work. The Gala is set for May 20th, at Pauline Vanier Park. The rain date will be May 21st. Returning to the Gala is Little Rays’ Reptiles, Terry Newcombe balloon twister, The Young at Heart Line Dance Team, Peter Barnett’s Plaster Place, Carnaval Outaouais, New to the Gala is a display honouring Queen Victoria and her roll in the History of Ottawa by the Monarchist League of Canada. The Gala is topped off by an awesome fireworks display by the Otterson Blasters.

The Gala has strengthened its ties with the Riverside Park Community and Recreation Association by becoming a committee of the association. The committee is also backed by sponsorship from Roger’s Independent Grocer and other local businesses. The Gala is pleased to announce a new sponsor to the Gala this year, The Southway Inn and the Shallows Restaurant. The Gala will need 50 volunteers on the day of the show.
