City to decorate street signs to honour Lebanese poet

June 25th, 2019

On June 26, the City of Ottawa will consider a motion to hang decorative street-sign blades along Ridgewood Avenue to honour the famous Lebanese poet Gibran Khalil Gibran. The motion comes at the request of St. Elias Cathedral in advance of the Ottawa Lebanese Festival, which will run from July 17 to 21, 2019. The street name will remain unchanged and all costs would be borne by St. Elias.
