Kate Cathrae, Riverside Park Community Activist, Joins the Board

March 10th, 2020

The Riverside Park Community Association is pleased to welcome Kate Cathrae as its newest Director.

Kate joined the Board of Directors through an interim appointment on March 8, and will serve until the AGM in October. However, Kate is no stranger to the community or the community association. She is a member of the Environment and Parks Committee and has been very active at RPCA meetings and events for several years.

Kate has also been active in many volunteer roles in our community, including:

  • 2014-2017, Public Relations Board of Riverside Park Nursery School, co-chair New Building Committee;
  • 2016-ongoing, Vice-President and Secretary for Carleton Condominium Corporation 138; and
  • 2019-ongoing, School Council Secretary at Riverview Alternative.

“I consider my strengths to be networking, priority setting and a familiarity with the happenings of our community,” said Kate. “My passion is community building through forming human connections and understanding how things work.”

These are strong assets to bring to our community … and we are lucky to have her join the team to represent the Riverside Park West neighbourhood.
