As of June 15, it became mandatory for OC Transpo riders and workers to wear cloth masks as part of the city’s efforts to put the brakes on the COVID-19 pandemic.
The new rule will comes into effect as Ottawa eases into Phase 2 and riders begin to return. Although mandatory, the rule will not be enforced; relying instead on public education, awareness, and peer pressure.
